What to Expect

Shreya Patel MD

Dr. Shreya Patel believes that quality of life is one of the most important goals to achieve for her patients. Whether you’re suffering from classic hay fever symptoms, coughing, asthma, itchy skin or severe food allergies among other complaints, Dr. Patel will work with you to find a diagnosis, minimize symptoms and optimize your quality of life. She will discuss options for testing and treatments without pursuing unnecessary invasive procedures. She believes that patients should have a say in their care and therefore will create a treatment plan with each patient on an individualized basis.

Dr. Patel has a special interest in food allergies and eczema but also treats the full array of allergic disorders you may be suffering from. She understands that allergic disorders generally run in the family so she pays close attention to treating the whole family.

She is a member of the Physician’s Society of Central Florida and enjoys taking part in their medical student mentorship program. She is an active member of the American Lung Association leadership committee as well as the Lip Sync For lungs Annual fundraising event planning committee.

Dr. Patel is Board Certified by the American Board of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. She completed 3 years of residency training in Pediatrics at the Goryeb Children’s Hospital in Morristown, New Jersey. She then went on to complete a 2-year fellowship training at Rutgers University in New Jersey where she was exposed to both children and adult patients with complex disease in both allergy and immunodeficiency. She is a member of the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology and the American College of Allergy and Immunology. She is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Patel resides in Orlando with her husband and two young children. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Gujarati.
Please remember to bring your insurance card, a picture I.D. and any necessary referrals. To ensure you get the best care possible, please also bring a list of your current medications and copies of any blood tests or X-rays that may have been done in relation to your reason for seeing us.

In order to be skin tested on your first visit, please refrain from taking any antihistamines (allergy pills) for at last 5-7 days prior to your appointment.

Karen is the newest member of our team here at Allergy & Asthma Center of Orlando but she has quickly become the heart and soul of this practice. Ask for Karen if you have any comments or concerns and she is always happy to help.

Sancharna Calixte

Sancharna joined Allergy & Asthma Center of Orlando back in 2018. She is dedicated to helping you from the start by scheduling your appointments, guiding you to our office and being the first smiling face you see on the day of your visit. She is our expert in all things from taking your vitals to performing your in office allergy testing.

Manisha Dudhiya

Manisha was born in Manchester, England but relocated to Orlando 11 years ago. She joined the team at Allergy & Asthma Center of Orlando in 2019. Manisha is our jack of all trades. Any questions? She’s your girl.
